This workshop is designed for All Levels.
Jivamukti Yoga was founded in New York back in 1984 by David Life and Sharon Gannon. This style of Yoga is often referred to as the “wild child “of Yoga and is a perfect blend of physicality and spirituality.
DeAnna Anderson, our amazing presenter, lived and studied with David Life and Sharon Gannon in New York, and is presently the only certified Jivamukti Teacher in the state of Texas.
A typical Jivamukti class focuses on a theme that is supported by Sanskrit chanting, readings (Yoga Sutras) and elevating music. The asana practice is vigorous and demanding, so be prepared to sweat!
This style will be new to some of us, maybe even foreign to us, so therefore let’s cultivate an open mind and heart as we move into the realm of Jivamukti. It will be an amazing experience for all. You simply can not miss it!

• Chakra Tuning: The practice of sound healing is referred to as chakra tuning and helps heal the body and enliven the energy centers. We can tune all of the chakras during a meditation session, moving up the spine. Alternately, it’s also useful to focus on a single chakra related to a physical or emotional difficulty we may be experiencing. So, let’s “tune” in.
• Call and Response Chanting: “I sing, You sing, We all sing”;
